Testnets and Westend network

Testnets are test blockchain networks that act and perform similarly to the main blockchain networks also known as MainNets they are associated with.

The coins on a testnet have no real or economic value and are used only for testing.

Westend Test Network

Westend is the latest test network for Polkadot. The tokens on this network are called Westies and they purposefully hold no economic value. More
